5. How can I become emancipated?: You will first need to fill out a questionnaire so that a determination can be made whether you qualify. You must be able to show that you are self-supporting. Stop by the Juvenile Court to obtain the questionnaire.

If you missed traffic court you will be sent one more notice to appear. If you fail to appear the second time a notice will be sent to the Department of Driver Services to suspend your license for failure to appear.

Failure of a parent to appear may cause the court to issue a show cause order requiring the parent to give a reason for their failure to show.
