1. I received a citation and I need to pay it. Whom do I pay and where do I pay it?

Get a money order or cashier's check (no personal checks) for the specified bond amount. Copy the citation, keep the original and mail the copy along with the money order or cashier's check to:

2. I have a Georgia Driver's License and I have a suspension on my driving record and I need to have it removed. What should I do?

Call the Department of Driver Services, which is the record keeper for suspended licenses, at 678-413-8400. Ask for the following information:
* The name, location and telephone number of the court that sent in the suspension.
* The citation number and citation date.
* Ask what information you will need from the court which you will need to provide to the Department of Driver Services.
* Call the court for the amount and any other information Department of Driver Services tells you to obtain.

3. I have a question about my criminal history. What should I do?

Call the Georgia Crime Information Center Helpline, which is the record keeper for criminal histories, at 1-404-244-2639. Ask for the following information:
* The name, location and telephone number of the court that sent in the disposition data.
* The offense date and date of arrest.
* Ask what information you will need from the court which you will need to provide to the Georgia Crime Information Center Helpline.
* Call the court with other questions about dispositions of criminal cases.

4. I posted a cash bond on my traffic or misdemeanor charge. When and how will I get it back?

A cash bond may be refunded only after a case is completed and all paperwork is signed by a Judge. A case would be completed once the defendant has either gone before the judge and been sentenced, adjudicated not guilty, or the case has been dismissed. A cash bond will be refunded to the surety and the defendant and mailed to the address of the surety by check. Please notify the Clerk's office in writing if the address for the surety or the defendant changes at any time after arrest and bond.

5. How soon after receiving my citation can I find out the amount due?

It takes our office approximately 10 days to receive the ticket in our office.

6. I have a license issued by a state other than the State of georgia and I have a question about a suspension or points on my license. how do I find out the status of my license?

Call the Department of driver Services for the State in which your license was issued. We do not have telephone numbers for the individual states. You will need the following information when you call.

The name, location and telephone number of the court that sent in the suspension.

The citation number and citation date.

Ask what information you will need from the court.

7. How do I do a record search?

The records in Glynn County State Court are open to the public for inspection during normal working hours. The Clerk's office also has a public access computer located in our lobby which may be used during normal business hours. The Clerk's office will try to assist the public, however, we do not do record searches.
