Bulky Items Collection

The County Public Works Department provides free pickup of bulk items and white goods (appliances). Each property owner is allowed two bulk items and two white goods pickups per year, per property. This pickup is not available for commercial businesses.

Instructions
  • Contact Customer Service to schedule an appointment for pickup.
  • After being given an appointment, you will be sent an e-mail or mailed a letter listing the date of the pickup, when and where to place the items and what items cannot be accepted. The size of the pile is limited to six feet by six feet by six feet.
  • Place the items on the right-of-way no earlier than the day before the designated pick-up date. Any rejected items must be removed within 24 hours.
  • Doors on appliances must be secure where they can't be opened by children.
  • Place items in an accessible area away from parked cars, fences, trees, power lines and other obstacles so large equipment may access the items.
  • If your items for pick-up are not available on your scheduled day you will be credited for one of your two pick-ups.

  • Liquids
  • Paint
  • Boats & vehicles
  • Vehicle batteries
  • Dead animals
  • Asbestos
  • Yard trimmings
  • Insecticides and pesticides
  • Garbage
  • Hazardous materials
  • Tires
  • Construction & demolition debris
  • Oil
  • Bulk and white goods from remodeling, construction or dispossesses
  • Any material resulting from work performed by a contractor
