Program Outline

Goals for each phase are centered around the individual treatment plan, and successful management of expectations of the court. Each participant will be assigned to a case manager. Participant is required to obtain a sponsor, stay clean, be on time for all meetings, obtain employment that supports recovery, obtain or work toward a GED, pay fine in a timely fashion, attend court when their phase is to do so, and attend all treatment sessions.

The program is divided into five phases of treatment, with specific tasks to be accomplished in order to transition to the next phase. The phases of treatment are: Orientation, Phase I, Phase II, Phase III, and Phase IV. A general description of each phase of treatment and the requirements to successfully complete each phase follows:


A. Orientation (approximately six months) is designed to provide participants with a firm foundation from which to build a program of recovery.


Orientation Requirements are:

1. to become acclimated to drug court program

2. to attend (six) group counseling sessions per week

3. to attend (one) individual counseling session per week

4. to attend court every week

5. to attend at least (four) community support meetings (A.A., N.A., Celebrate Recovery,etc.) per week

6. to pay fine of $120.00

7. to adhere to a 9:00 curfew

8. to complete phase assignments


B. Phase I (approximately six months) is designed to help participants understand their addiction and to
begin working a recovery plan.

Phase I requirements are:

1. to remain drug and alcohol free

2. to attend (six) group counseling sessions per week

3. to attend (one) individual counseling session per month

4. to attend court three to four times a month

5. to attend at least(three) community support meetings (A.A., N.A., Celebrate Recovery, etc.)
per week

6. to pay fine of $425.00

7. to adhere to a 9:00 curfew

8. to complete phase assignments.


C. Phase II (approximately five months) -- This phase of treatment is designed to lead participants in conducting a thorough and honest self-examination. This phase is also designed to help participants work through many of the powerful emotions that emerge during this period of recovery.

Phase II requirements are:

1. to remain drug and alcohol free

2. to attend five group counseling sessions per week

3. to attend one individual counseling session per month

4. to attend court two times a month

5. to attend at least three community support meetings (A.A., N.A., Celebrate Recovery, etc.)

6. to pay fine of $425.00

7. to adhere to 10:00 curfew

8. to complete phase assignments


D. Phase III (approximately five months) is designed to help participants implement the tools they have learned.

Phase III requirements are:

1. to remain drug and alcohol free

2. to attend four group counseling sessions per week

3. to attend one individual counseling session per month

4. to attend court two times per month

5. to attend at least three community support meetings (A.A., N.A., Celebrate Recovery,etc.) per week

6. to pay fine of $425.00

7. to adhere to 11:00 curfew

8. to complete phase assignments


E. Phase IV (approximately five months) is designed to help participants strengthen their commitment to sobriety and to integrate the participants into the local community.

Phase IV requirements are:

1. to remain drug and alcohol free for (Six months if graduating in eighteen months or
twelve months graduating in twenty four months or more.

2. to attend three group counseling sessions per week

3. to attend one individual counseling sessions per month

4. to attend court once per month

5. to attend at least three community support meetings (A.A., N.A.,Celebrate Recovery,,etc.)per week

6. to pay remaining balance of Drug Court fee of $425.00

7. to have completed forty hours of community service

8. to have obtained GED or high school diploma

9. to have obtained full-time employment

10. to develop continuing care plan

11. to prepare and present a graduation speech

12. to complete phase assignments

13. to attend Commissioners meeting

14. to provide a background check
