OUR ADOPTION PROCESS

We invite you to visit with your potential new family member at our shelter between 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. any day except Sundays and Wednesdays (we're closed to the public on Sundays and Wednesdays). If you have other pets in the home, children, roommates or someone else who will be living with your new pet, we encourage you to bring him/her/them with you. We will gladly help you do a meet-n-greet with your family pet.

The next step will be completing an adoption interview and application. If you apply online through the above adoption link, the adoption is not guaranteed. We are in the process of setting up the online payment through that link. You will need to come to the shelter to finish the adoption process.

Small dogs and purebred animals often have many people interested in adopting them. If you are interested in a small dog or a purebred dog or cat, we will place the pet with the first qualified adopter who is at the shelter at 12:00 p.m. on the day that he/she becomes available for adoption. If multiple people arrive at the same time, we will put everyone's name in a bowl and draw a name.

If you have any questions about our adoption process, please call us at (912) 55-47505 or email animalservices@glynncounty-ga.gov. We are a small staff with a big job, so we can't guarantee that we can respond to emails or Facebook posts that same day.
