ADMINISTRATIVE TECHNICIAN I
DESCRIPTION:
The Glynn County Sheriff's Office has a PART TIME position available for an Administrative Technician I. This position is responsible for performing clerical/secretarial work associated with information processing. This position serves the public who come to the Glynn County Sheriff's Office and involves information processing, answering and routing phone calls, records management, data entry, preparing reports, and basic cash receipting.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must be familiar with office equipment such as computer, telephone, intercom system, copier, fax, typewriter and calculator. Candidates must be computer literate, with data processing and word processing experience. Good communication skills are a requirement. Experience in Sheriff's Office operations and procedures not required but would be beneficial.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Valid driver's license is required; High school diploma or GED from an accredited Source; Criminal Background Check; Drivers History Record Check

DETENTION OFFICER I
DESCRIPTION:
Assists with the initial processing and transportation of detainees and inmates. Assists with serving meals to detainees and inmates.Coordinates and assists with social and recreational activities for detainees and inmates.Assists with scheduled times for personal and area hygiene. Conducts security checks and headcounts.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED is required.Experience in a detention or corrections environment is preferred. Knowledge of standardized rules,procedures or operations applicable to the work performed is preferred. Considerable training is required to do the full range of standard assignments. Candidate must have no felony convictions or significant misdemeanor convictions.
