Summary: This position is responsible for assisting the Operations Manager in coordinating the operations, safety, security and enforcement of rules/regulations at county airports.

Schedule: This position will work a minimum of 40 hours per week. Person hired to fill position will be required to be on call and work a rotating schedule to include nights and weekends.

Essential Job Functions: Responsible for the daily operations of a Part 139 certificated airport (Brunswick-Golden Isles) and general aviation airport (McKinnon/St. Simons Island). Assists the Operations Manager in the development, implementation, and enforcement of airport safety and security policies. Conducts annual/periodic reviews of programs and coordinates execution of annual meetings and exercises. Oversees and monitors safety and security of airport facilities and conditions. Conducts periodic airport inspections and airport terminal inspections to monitor safety and security. Assists with enforcement of rules, regulations and lease provisions. Serves as liaison between tenants, general public, and airport administration. Coordinates airport safety and security programs and performs work associated with construction and other special projects. Monitors weather conditions at each airport and conducts daily check of airport weather-reporting equipment. Performs other duties as required.
