2-16-238 Trash and weeds: Duty of person responsible.
  • (a) Within the urban service tax district, it shall be unlawful for any person having an ownership or leasehold interest in property, having a contractual obligation to manage property, or occupying property to maintain such property, including vacant lots or land, in such a way as to allow trash, garbage, litter, or miscellaneous refuse to accumulate. Drive-in restaurants and other food establishments that permit carry-out food service shall maintain at all times on their premises sufficient receptacles for the disposal of trash, garbage, and miscellaneous refuse.
  • (b) Within the urban service tax district, it shall be unlawful for any person having an ownership or leasehold interest in property, having a contractual obligation to manage property, or occupying property to maintain or cause or permit to be maintained uncut grass or weeds on such property under circumstances that the grass or weeds become a breeding place for insects, rodents or reptiles, or constitutes a fire hazard.
