Current known closures include:


  • Glynn County government offices will be closed on Friday, September 2. 
  • Glynn County Parks will be closed Selden Park, Ballard Park, North Glynn Recreation Complex, Howard Coffin Park, Mallery Park, Neptune Park/Casino, Blythe Island Regional Park, Neptune Miniature Golf.
  • All levels of court are cancelled for Friday, September 2. In addition, the courthouse building will be closed. 
  • The Glynn County Animal Shelter will be closed Friday, September 2 and officers will only be responding to emergency calls as weather conditions permit. 
  • Marshes of Glynn Libraries on the Brunswick and St. Simons Island Library will close at 4:00 p.m. today, September 1. The libraries will remain closed on Friday, September 2. Operations on Saturday, September 3 may be suspended based on weather conditions. 
  • Glynn County School System will close all school operations on Friday, September 2 to include after school and extracurricular programs. The Glynn Academy football game in Orlando, Fla. On Thursday, September 1 is expected to take place as planned with a kickoff at 8:00 p.m.
  • The College of Coastal Georgia has cancelled classes for Friday, September 2.
  • First Friday in Downtown Brunswick has been canceled.
  • Georgia Ports Authority will close all operations at both Brunswick and Savannah locations on Friday, September 2.
